What I'm Loving Wedensday/Pinterest Mesh

&&&

This Wedensday

I'm LOVING:

...Picnik.com: I'm so sad it's about to be gone from the internet. I love being able to turn my pictures into this:

(This is D,C, Me, C, and A before the KY basketball agme last week. We stood outside waiting for the doors to open for 4.5 hours, then sat there another 2 hours in the colesium waiting for the game to start. Yay, we're dedicated basketball fans.!)

...My two new peices of Artwork.
(I found a picture pretty much similar to this on Pinterest, and thought it would be so cute in a bathroom, so I painted my own!)

(This is a painting I did for my older sister. She found this on pinterst and wanted me to make her one. It may look like the background is light purple, but it's actually a light blue. Then on the original picture it had a redish color where the pink is, but I couldn't do red because then it would be blue and red, and that's Ole Miss colors, and that just won't do. Lol!)

...This weather...again. It rained last night, and today just feels perfect. It's a little overcast, but still very nice breeze.

Well, I know that's not very much things I'm loving right now. But I really just wanted to share my pictures, and how sad I am that Picnik will be no more in April. I hope you enjoyed it. And I linked it up to Pinterst, becasue both paintings came from Pinterst.

Have a happy Wednesday.

xoxo.

Weekend Update and Good Luck

So I've heard that ladybugs bring good luck, and I think this is true. Friday, I was on my way to an interview for a job. I've been looking for a job for like a month and half and I haven't had any luck at all. Well, when I get there I fill out an application and right after they put me in the system and got me started on training videos. I really needed a job, so I'm so grateful to finally have this one. Even though, I'm a little nervous, but hopefully I'll be alright.

But, then, the luck continued. I was checking my e-mail today and was given a promo code for a free large pizza and a 2-liter pepsi. I was so thankful for that too, cause I was wondering what I was going to eat today because I have to stop spending money right now, and here come a free delcious meal.

And what's so great is that the ladybug is one of my social organizations symbols, so I thought that was really cool. But whether it was the ladybug that brought me good luck or just so happened to happen around the time I saw the bug, I'm very thankful for all that luck I recieved.

But moving on from my recently found luck. Yesterday we had New Member Reception for my organization. We got so many great new members and really excited! We went bowling and it was fun. I got so many gutter balls it isn't even funny, but it was still fun to go and hang out with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Action shot of D & S, new members.

The clasic shot of shoes! Bowling shoes are the ugliest!

E & me at the bowling alley.

A & E!!

R & me!!

So all in all it was a fun trip to the Bowling Alley. The night continued on to eat mexican with T, L, K, A, D, and me. It's our go to place. Mexican is the best cause it's cheap and as soon as you sit down you get an appetizer. And it's usually pretty tasty. Then I went on to a Mardi Gras party with E & J, but didn't stay to long. There wasn't many people that I knew, but it was nice to hang out with them.

Today is suppose to be a productive day. I plan on studying for a few test I have this week as well as doing laundry and cleaning the apartment. :)

Amazing Hairstyles

I know I've already posted twice today, but I was looking at 100 Amazing Hairstyles and I came across the one directly above. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the top of this dress. It's so beautiful. I would so wear this for my wedding. And the hair matches beautifully. But aren't these hairstyles cool? I so want my hair to hurry up and grow out so I can do more with it. I really want to find out how people do this and come up with it.

Meet Captain Crunch (Cappie)

So I'm linking up with Cait from Fit, Fierce, and Fabulous for a Pet Link-Up, so....

Meet Captain Crunch, a.k.a. Cappie!!!

As you can tell from this picture he's a fluffy, all black, adorable little pomeranian. I want to say I got him back my senior year of high school, so that would make him about 2-3 years old. The picture above is when he we just a little bitty puppy. He's grown up so much, but he's still full of joy!!

I wish I could put more pictures up, but the only ones I have still show up to big even when I ask for them to be small and it's making a mess of my writing on my blog (If that makes any sense). But he has a Bulldogs jersey that we let him wear. He loves to chase squirrels and make new freinds with other puppies. He is NEVER camara ready. If you ever get a picture of him looking at the camera it is considered a miracle! He's ears are always alert and listening for any danger. He's territorial and does not like for random people to enter his home. He doesn't bite or anything, but he does have a loud bark.

He falls into a state of depresssion if my younger sister, Vanessa, is not in the same room as him. He follows her everywhere and if you come home without her, he will stare at the door anticipating her return. For some reason he ONLY likes to give kisses right on the mouth, so you always have to make sure your mouth is closed. All around he is a fun, entergetic, loving puppy dog, and I'm so thankful to have him as my pet!!

Valentine's Week Update

Monday the 13th
It was the first night of recruitment and in honor of Valentine's Day I made these cute little Jello cups. I tried to take a picture of them, but it did not turn out very well. I actually got a real positive response from the cups. I didn't think it was going to be a big deal considering it was just jello, but I did get lots of compliments saying they enjoyed it. They also thought the chocolate heart was really cute. If you click 'Jello cups', it will send you to the link with the recipe along with a video on how to create them. You'll also see how darling they look!

Tuesday the 14th
So I didn't have a Valentine this year, but that's okay because I got to spend V-day with two great friends, A & K! We made tacos for dinner and watched What's Your Number?, which was pretty funny. A & I fell in love with the song at the end of the movie. It's Natasha Bedingfeild's "Neon Lights" and it's all I can listen to. If you haven't heard it, you should go check it out. By next week I'll probably be sick of it because I would have listened to it so much.

Wedensday the 15th
It was the second night of Recruitment and unfortunately I had a Earth Science Lab that I had to attend so I missed majority of Recruitment which was sad. Not to mention it was pouring down rain! On my way out of the building, I didn't know there was a step so close to the door and I tripped and sprained my ankle just a bit. I did recover quite quickly, however, and hurried my way to recruitment.

Thursday the 16th
Last night of recruitment and it was a blast! I got to stay the whole time. My friend, L, taught us the sticky note game, where everyone gets the amount of sticky notes there are in the circle. For example if there are 12 people in the circle, everyone gets 12 sticky notes. On the first sticky note you write either a sentence or a subject or whatever. Then you pass it to your right and the next person takes what you wrote and draws a picture. Then, they pass and the next person writes a description of the picture. And you keep going drawing a picture, writing a description, drawing a picture, until it gets back to the original sticky. Then you have this timeline ordeal and it creats some of the funniest things ever! We laughed soo hard at some of the things girls came up with. It's our new favorite game!
It was also our Dress up night and I wanted to take pictures but I forgot to put my Sim card in the camera so no pictures. But I'm so excited because we got some AWESOME girls!

This weekend...
I have a lot of fun things going on this weekend and this time I do have my Sim card in my camera so I will be sure to take as many pictures as I can. My camera is a little slow, so I may not take too many because I lose my patience with it trying to take pictures. Hope everyone's weekend is superb!

My First "It's Ok" Thursdays!!

Hii All! This is my first It's Ok Thursday. My sister does this and I thought I would join in!

It's Ok...

...that I have not yet updated about my Valentine's Day yet (but I will)

...to be living off frozen chicken nuggets this week

...to get embarassed when you are singing and dancing your heart out in the middle of the day only to be interupted by a sweet girl selling donuts to raise money for her church knowing she heard you

...not to have bought the donuts from the sweet girl because you have no money

...to be single

...to get a bit bummed out that the flowers you planted are taking forever to grow roots in order to hold themselves in place

....to be completely pumped for the Hunger Games movie to come out

...to have crushes on fictional characters in books such as Peeta from the Hunger Games

Happy Thursday!!!!

More About Me!!

So my sister, Heather, blogs and I saw that she was doing a link up through Neely's site to get her blog out there and I thought I would do the same!!

Hello, I'm Tiffani!!

I am currently a sophomore at Mississippi State University (Go DAWGS!) studying Elementary Education. I have always wanted to be a teacher since like Kindergarten. There's no doubt in my mind that it's what I was born to do.

I was blessed with an amazing family; I'm so thankful to have them. I know many people weren't born into the best familes, so I definitely do NOT take mine for granted. They mean the world to me! I have a dad and a mom, along with two sisters. I'm the middle child. I'm so grateful to have real sisters, because even though you have friends who you think are 'like sisters', I've found that nothing really beats the real thing. They have always been there for me even at my worst, caring for me and watching out for me. So I wouldn't trade them in for anything. They are the best!

(I used the same picture off my sister's blog - it was easier, and I like the picture!)

A couple of my hobbies include: gardening, pilates and yoga, walking/running, cooking, and painting. My first post was about a few of these hobbies (go check it out!), so I won't go into them in so much detail considering this is only my third post! Lol. Painting is something I've enjoyed, I haven't really painted in a while. I should, but I haven't had any inspiration nor have I really been in the mood to drag all my paint stuff out.

I'm also a huge music buff. I pretty much like all types of music, but my all time favorite genre is country. Keith Urban, Montomery Gentry, and Lee Brice are a few of my favorite artist but that's just straching the surface.

I don't really know what else to share at the moment. If you want to know more, then just check out my blog. It's fairly new, but I'm quite excited about sharing my experience with the blogging world!! :0

Liebster Blog Award

Good Evening!

I decided it was time for a second post. As I shared in my first post, my two sisters are also blogging. Well, my younger sister, Vanessa, was given a Blog Award by my older sister, Heather, who turned around and gave it to me! So, thank you soo very much Vanessa! (Don't forget to check out their blogs - they are just lovely!)

Now, I don't really follow that many people who would qualify for this award, so I might have to add to it later. But I felt pretty special to already recieve a Blog Award when I have only blogged one post.

Liebster is German for "dearest" or "favorite" and the Liebster Blog Award Recognizes up-and-coming bloggers with fewer than 200 followers.

The Rules for the Liebster Blog Award are:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award and link to their blog
2. Copy and paste the award into your blog
3. Reveal the five blogs you have chosen for the award and let them know by commenting in their blog

1. The first person I want to recognize is my dear friend, Emma. I met her in college, she's a part of LSC, and she is one of the most lovely ladies I have ever met. You can't help but feel happy around her. Her spirits are always uplifting. She also is studying Elementary Education and is actually Student Teaching this semester. Her blog title is the cutest. Go check her out at The Emmazing Life!

2. The second blogger I want to recognize is someone that I just came across today, but as soon as I came across her blog I knew I had to follow her. You can immeditaly tell she has a huge heart for people and a love for Christ. She shares her testimony on her blog, which is very encouraging. I know many people could relate to her. I love that some of her post challenges you and makes you question things in your own life as well as her sharing her life with you. It's not like she's trying to make you feel bad about yourself, she's just walking that spiritual journey along side you. So I encourage everyone to visit Ms. Asia's blog entitled A Lady in the Making.

3. Then my third blogger I want to share with everyone, is Amy's blog: My Ducks in a Row. I can't remember how I found her, but I am glad I did. She blogs about some really cute stuff and her little family is adorable!! She introducted me to a really cool site called Etsy.com. I've never heard of it, but it has some really cool unique handcrafted things that you can buy. So, definately another one you must check out!

4. Fourth blog I want to recognize, is Caroline's blog: The Jernigan Wagon. Her blog is so cute. She mainly talks about her life journey with her adorable little family. Her little girl is super adorable and she has another one on the way. Even though, I'm not even close to being married or having children, I still enjoy reading her blogs.

My First Blog

UPDATE: 3.1.2012
So I decided to linkup with Delightful Order today. And I really wanted to share my Sweet Bacon Chicken Wraps, so that's why I'm linking this blog.

---------------

So this being my first blog, it's going to be filled with many random things that have taken place over the past couple weeks, as well as bit of an introduction of myself.

1. Marathon Makeover
So, last year, my parents started this program called Marthan Makeover, a program that turns couch potatoes into marthoners. This year, they wanted us to participate. The marathon is suppose to be in October, I think. This gives us plenty of time to take it slow, in order to build muscles and avoid injuries. They are really good about informing about safety, proper clothing/gear, the importance of streching, and all that other good stuff about running. I'm really excited to be a part of it, because not everybody can say that they have ran a marathon. We're in our third week of training. The first ten weeks of it, we are strictly to walk, that's just to build our muscles and get our bodies use to the activity. Even though I was decently active before I started the program, I decided to stick with the walking (1) because I'm a bit lazy and (2) I don't want, nor could I afford, an injury.

2. Yoga and Pilates
Along with the marathon, I've been getting into Pilates. I have a DVD that I do at home, and I LOVE it. It gives a good stretch throughout my entire body and I fill like I've been renewed. It can be hard at times though, I'm not use to moving like that. Not that the movements are hard, just they really work ya. Though, I found that whenever I get bored I'll just pop the DVD in and start doing pilates, not really for a reason, just because. At my University we have a Yoga Moves Club that I want to start going to. They meet on Tuesdays for an hour and a half. I was going to go this Tuesday, but I had another interest meeting that I went to that was during the class. Then next Tuesday, is Valentine's Day so I'm not sure if they are meeting or not. If so, I will be there, but if not, then the next Tuesday I will be there for sure!

3. Sweet Bacon Chicken Wraps
I'm a part of a social organization at my University named Ladies Social Circle (LSC) and we had a potluck Super Bowl Party on Sunday and I made the most delicious little appetizers. Everyone loved them! They are so simple, and so easy, it is not even funny! It's a Paula Dean recipe and I'm going to share it with you, because food this delicious just has to be shared.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 (1 lb) package sliced bacon
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder

Directions:
1. Preheat the over to 350 degrees F.
2. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes.
3. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick inserted on the diagonal starting where bacon seam overlaps.
4. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture.
5. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken on rack in broiler pan.
6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until bacon is crisp.

*My friends and I also did this same recipe with little smokies instead of chicken, and those turned out really good as well.

**DISCLAIMER: This is not my recipe. I got it here: http://www.food.com/recipe/sweet-chicken-bacon-wraps-paula-deen-146427

If you would like a visual look at how to creat the Sweet Bacon Chicken Wraps, click here for a video of Paula Dean making this delicious dish herself!

4. My Plants
Lately, I've gotten into plants. I recieved two beautiful Hibiscus plants (which by the way are my all time favorite flower). When they bloom, they are just the most beautiful things you have ever seen! As soon as one blooms again, I will post a picture. I acutally don't have them with me right now, they are back at my parent's house. I'm hoping that they will finally make it to my apartment within the month, so I have more plants in my home. Right now though, I planted seeds in a flowering pot. Well, today when I got home from class, I was greeted by this little bitty green sprout sticking up out of my flower pot. I was so excited to see that my seeds are actually growing! Expect more pictures as it continues to grow! I'm so happy that it finally is growing now, so that when my neighbors walk by I actually have something in my flower pot other than just soil. Lol!
Ya, the date is wrong, but it's coming along beautifully!!

5. Facts About Me
Lastly, I'll just add a little information about myself. I am in college studying Elementary Education. I have known I wanted to be a teacher literally since Kindergarten. I was that kid who asked for nothing but office supplies for Christmas. No lie. I love colors, and crafty things. I am the middle child of two sisters, whom both have a blog. Heather, my older sister, talks about her experience interning in Disney, along with fitness and other things. Check her out here. Then my younger sister, Vanessa, just started her blog and you can check her out here.

Well I think this is a good start off to my blogging. Hope you enjoyed. Don't forgot to follow me!
